Building & Decorating
At The A.C.E. Group we carry out all types of decoration and renovation services, including painting, overhauling and updating your entire building. We offer most general building services needed to maintain, renovate or add to your property, for both domestic clients and landlords.
General Building Tasks
We offer general building, bricklaying, stonework and partitioning, plasterboarding, skimming, plastering, rendering, paving, roofing, tiling, wallpapering, and painting and decorating.
Preparing Surfaces
When carrying out decoration services, it often becomes necessary to prepare wall and ceiling surfaces due to uneven or damaged areas. Any holes, gaps or uneven surfaces are filled and sanded down to ensure a nice, even, smooth finish. Wooden surfaces such as skirting boards, dado rails and frames can be prepared for decoration in the same way. To strip paper from walls and ceilings, our workers use scrapers and, where necessary, a steam stripper, leaving a clean surface for further decoration.
Plastering & Skimming
Sometimes filling in and sanding down are not enough. In these cases, our skilled plasterers carry out plastering and skimming, leaving the walls and ceilings perfectly ready for further decoration.
Painting (Internally & Externally)
The final touch is usually painting walls and ceilings, inside or outside. Depending on the room, location and your requirements, we apply primer or undercoat and top coats, using the appropriate type of paint (for example bathroom paint, kitchen paint or external paint). We always use top-quality paints.
Re-pointing
Where necessary, we hack out blown pointing, prepare the areas and re-point to protect the brickwork and provide an attractive appearance.
Gutter Maintenance & Cleaning
We carry out gutter maintenance periodically for clients, particularly during the autumn months. Keeping the gutters and rainwater downpipes clean and clear is an important preventative measure to minimise water leakage into a property. Access can vary, and we have been known to use cherry pickers to reach tall houses.
