Whether your property is undergoing a full refurbishment requiring complete new rewiring, or a new kitchen needs wiring to service new appliances, power points and lighting, we will advise you on what is needed and submit a detailed estimate for the work. Electrical Installations
This can be a full installation where a property is undergoing complete refurbishment and new rewiring is required, or a partial installation — for example, where a new kitchen is being fitted and new wiring is needed for appliance positions, worktop power points and lighting arrangements. Upgrading the existing consumer unit may also be necessary to cope with the additional load.
Replacing a Consumer Unit
When this work is undertaken, we are required to ensure the existing wiring is safe for the change, usually by carrying out a full Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) beforehand. We also ensure the earthing and bonding is up to standard, that the meter tails are the correct size, and that there are adequate means of isolation between the meter and the consumer unit — upgrading where necessary. An estimate is provided for your approval before commencing.
Fire Alarms & Emergency Lighting
Fire alarms save lives and are highly recommended in any property — from a simple battery-operated unit to a fully integrated system with mains-powered smoke alarms, heat detectors and an alarm panel, including communal-area systems for buildings of flats. Correctly installed emergency lighting keeps the escape route clearly illuminated even if the power is compromised. On completion you are provided with installation and commissioning certificates, and we offer maintenance contracts to periodically inspect and service these systems.
Door Entry, Intercom & External Installations
We install audio and video door entry systems for commercial buildings and blocks of flats, allowing you to see and hear your caller and admit them remotely. We also provide external lighting — functional, decorative or security — and external power points, inspecting your existing consumer unit and wiring and providing an estimate for the work.
Installations, Upgrades & Certificates
We can rewire premises and produce installation certificates, install new fire and smoke alarm systems, security systems and intercoms, and upgrade electrical installations to comply with current regulations and certify the same. In short, we can cater to all your electrical needs at both domestic and commercial premises.
