The A.C.E. Group is a registered member of Gas Safe, and all our plumbing and gas operatives are also members. This qualifies them to carry out all types of gas work, including boiler installations, for which we provide Gas Safe certification to confirm compliance with current regulations.
Boiler Repair
Our fully qualified gas engineers are adept at carrying out small and large boiler repairs. With many years of experience, our engineers investigate and diagnose the problem and recommend the safest, most cost-effective solution. Where more than one option is possible, this is discussed with you, clearly outlining the advantages and disadvantages. We always use high-quality materials from reliable, competitively priced suppliers.
New Boiler Installation & Replacement
New boiler installations are carried out by our fully qualified and certified engineers. Before installation, we diagnose and liaise with you to ensure the most economical and best-suited boiler is installed, and we advise on the benefits of appropriate filters and power flushing the system. We provide a detailed estimate with separate costs for materials and labour — a clear, no-surprises description of the works.
Sometimes a boiler reaches an age or condition where it is more economical to replace it than repair it. If so, we explain our findings together with the options available, such as conventional versus combi boilers, taking into account property size, space, the number of occupants and budget.
Combination (Combi) Boiler Installation
A combination boiler provides heating and hot water effectively and efficiently. Hot water comes on automatically once a hot tap is turned on, providing hot water on demand. A combi also saves space since it runs directly from the water mains, eliminating the need for a hot water cylinder or cold water storage tank, and there is no need for a pump as the water operates at mains pressure.
Gas Installations
The A.C.E. Group follows strict safety regulations and procedures for any gas work. Any work involving gas must be carried out by a certified engineer or a company registered with Gas Safe. Works can include locating and remedying a gas leak, running gas supplies from a meter, fitting a landlord meter, connecting to a central heating system, and fitting a gas hob or oven.
Central Heating Installation
The installation of a new central heating system involves a boiler installation and can include a hot water cylinder, depending on the boiler suitable for the property, plus feed and return pipework to service the radiators and hot water. We advise on the best options for your property and submit a detailed estimate. All work complies with Gas Safe regulations and the appropriate certificates are issued on completion.
Water Tanks, Cylinders & Power Flushing
We replace or remove cold water storage tanks and hot water cylinders — for example when switching to a combi boiler — freeing up loft or cupboard space, always protecting your property and leaving areas clean and tidy. Periodically power flushing a central heating system clears accumulated debris, producing a cleaner, more efficient system that can reduce your gas bill.
